Quality air is the guarantee of a healthy and controlled industrial process. Thus, for more than 30 years, we have been using our know-how for the sustainability of your industry by offering you filtration and drying solutions adapted to the most demanding needs.
Our NG DX range of dryers uses the principle of direct expansion refrigeration in order to effectively dry compressed air produced upstream in the network. Thanks to its efficient refrigeration system and our patented 3-in-1 heat exchanger, the compressed air is dried by an optimal exchange of heat in contraflow over the entire contact surface.
Our stainless steel plate heat exchanger consists of an air/air exchanger, which pre-cools the moist, water-saturated air, and an air/refrigerant fluid exchanger, which cools the compressed air down to a temperature of +3°C, thus ensuring the evacuation of moisture through an integrated separator. This patented heat exchanger, resulting from a collaboration between CTA and the world's largest equipment manufacturers, provides efficient cooling whatever the air intake conditions and ambient temperature, and also lowers resistance to circulation of the compressed air to a very limited level, generating a low pressure drop within the air.
With a wide range of air handling solutions from 30 m³/h to 11,000 m³/h.
3-in-1 heat exchanger
Made up of brazed stainless steel plates (AISI316), it allows for great energy savings thanks to its economiser pre-exchanger, its low pressure drop and its high-performance separator. Its brazed stainless steel plates prevent any type of corrosion due to humidity and ensure the longest service life on the market.
Refrigeration circuit
It incorporates all the safety features as standard to prevent the generation of faults through misuse. The purpose of these devices is to protect the refrigeration air dryer and, above all, to ensure that it operates correctly in order to maintain the user's process.
Compressors
Hermetic refrigeration compressors (reciprocating, rotary & scroll) that provide adequate cold production to maintain dew point under all conditions of use.
Controller
From NG DX 00030 to 00175, the controller is designed to optimise the operation of the dryer with a dew point display, control of the condensate drain and the correct functioning of the refrigeration circuit. From NG DX 00280 onwards, the controller allows the reporting of all alarms and malfunctions on the dryer. This can be optional on smaller models.
Hot gas valves
The new generation of direct expansion dryer has a hot gas valve that allows for better dew point stability during winter and when there is no thermal load. This ensures a high level of responsiveness and flexibility in the refrigeration circuit. The generous design allows a wide operating range with ambient temperatures up to 50°C and compressed air inlet temperatures up to 75°C.
Control and supervision
All units equipped with the IJ and PGD microprocessor can communicate autonomously with Carel's Applica application. This allows for easy remote control of the unit and management of parameters. These controllers facilitate remote diagnosis by our/your technicians. This exclusive co-developed programme is a major asset in the management of the service around the units.
Low energy costs
High performance design through its 3-in-1 exchanger which ensures an extremely low pressure drop of 0.15 bar at the expressed nominal flow rate.
Plug and Play product
Direct expansion refrigeration dryer ready for use with all components directly integrated and allowing easy operation. Expansia dryers are supplied with a power cable, which allows commissioning without having to open the dryer.
Positive environmental impact
This new range of refrigeration dryers works with 513a refrigerant. This refrigerant of group A1 (non-harmful,
Record durability and high resistance
Its reinforced body, painted in baked epoxy, ensures a long life over time even in the moist corrosive and dusty environements. Its high-efficiency condenser, equipped with robust fins, swept by air without any obstacle allows the possibility of cleaning and great durability.
Simplified maintenance
Easy access for maintenance with the opening of a single panel that allows the maintenance of the dryer device in an optimal and fast way. The refrigeration design of NG DX dryers ensures direct access to all compenents. The technical diagnosis is facilitated by the presence of pressure taps within the refrigeration circuit, as well as the presence of a low-pressure gauge on the condenser side.
Small location and optimized connection
The NG DX dryer has been built on verticality in order to reduce the footprint as much as possible, so the compressed air inlets and outlets are located at the back of the dryer with a minimum spacing of 12 cm and at a height allowing the installation of upstream and downstream filters while maintaining accessibility for changing filter elements.
