Our Borealis adiabatic chiller utilizes the principle of energy transfer through the evaporation of water to cool the air flowing through it. This water evaporation, when in contact with warm air, absorbs a portion of the heat contained in the air, resulting in cooled air being delivered to operators with a temperature reduction of up to 8°C. The unit features an all-in-one system for ventilation, pumping, and drying, mounted on a mobile chassis for easy handling and optimal functionality.

To facilitate this diffusion process, water from the 200-liter reservoir is pumped and evenly redistributed across the evaporating panels. Hot outdoor air is circulated through the panels, cooled, and redistributed by a fan capable of delivering 17,000 m³/h.

Recognizing potential sanitary issues related to this evaporation process in an open water reservoir, CTA offers a unique and patented standard solution for water sterilization using an integrated UV-C lamp. This sterilization effectively neutralizes a wide spectrum of viruses and bacteria, including legionella.

Limited Energy Costs

Energy consumption is kept low thanks to its low-power electrical components. The amount of water evaporated is 40 liters per hour, depending on the outdoor air temperature, which corresponds to the average water consumption of a shower.

Optimized Design

Easy handling is ensured with omnidirectional wheels and integrated handles in the casing’s moldings. The user-friendly design of the unit and reservoir makes it versatile and discreet in any setting.

Plug and Play Product

The Borealis chiller is ready for use, with all components integrated directly into its casing for simplicity of operation over time. It is semi-autonomous, allowing users to adjust the air flow according to their preferences. A ventilation-only mode is also available. The electrical connection is made via a standard 230V outlet.

Facilitated Maintenance

Optimal accessibility to various components allows for reduced maintenance time and limited operating costs. Maintenance kits are available for performing necessary upkeep on your chiller as needed.


Energy Efficiency

The electrical and hydraulic components are optimized to ensure the lowest possible energy consumption. With a total electrical power of 1.4 kW, it does not exceed that of a small individual portable air conditioner, which has an efficiency 15 times lower than our solution. In comparison, our system allows for annual energy savings of nearly €2,000 compared to a traditional rooftop air conditioning system of equivalent power.

Environmental Neutrality

The chiller operates solely on water and air circulated by the fan. Therefore, there is no refrigerant fluid, eliminating any impact on global warming potential (GWP).

Safety and Optimal Control

Equipped with a microprocessor that manages and controls the operation of the adiabatic chiller, it is possible to define a set of alarms related to the use of the chiller, generating alerts for maintenance or suboptimal functioning.

Manufactured and tested in our French factory, our chillers ensure optimal and reliable usage over time. The digital controller guarantees proper operation and cycle management, providing you with optimized and secure air cooling.

Limited Noise Pressure

Noise disturbances are minimized thanks to the design of its fan, equipped with acoustically optimized "bionic" blades and integrated aerodynamic air deflectors, allowing for optimal efficiency.
